Is Ezugi safe to play?

Ezugi has been owned by Evolution since 2019 and does not hold a UK licence of its own; its games reach British players under Evolution’s UK Gambling Commission software licence, which covers the games it builds and the standards they are tested to. That oversight is of the games, not the site you play them at, so the casino you deposit with, and the licence it holds, is what decides how a withdrawal is handled.

The games themselves you can watch happen. The live blackjack tables are real: eight physical decks dealt from a shoe, a dealer in front of you, filmed continuously. What was reviewed
A licence review of Evolution Malta Holding Limited, the entity whose UK software licence Ezugi's games run under, opened after Evolution games were found on unlicensed websites reachable by British consumers between December 2023 and November 2024.
What the regulator found
Between April 2024 and January 2025 Evolution breached licence conditions 12.1.1 and 12.1.2. The Commission found its money laundering and terrorist financing risk assessment did not meet minimum requirements, particularly on third party risk, and that its policies for monitoring the sub-licensees distributing its games lacked detail.
Outcome
A payment of 4,750,000 pounds in lieu of a financial penalty. The licence was not suspended and no licence sanction was imposed; Evolution agreed an additional licence condition requiring an independent audit within 12 months.

Ezugi runs several roulette tables, and the pull is that many are streamed from real casino floors rather than a studio: the Portomaso and Oracle rooms in Malta and the Marina in Sri Lanka, all single-zero European wheels at the standard 2.70% edge. Ezugi's baccarat is built around the no-commission format, which drops the usual 5% cut on Banker wins. No Commission Baccarat pays Banker wins a full 1 to 1 except a win on six, which pays half; Baccarat Super 6 pays that six-win 1 to 2 and adds a Super 6 side bet at 12 to 1; and EZ Baccarat is the trademarked version built on the Dragon 7 and Panda 8 side bets. The company behind the games

Ezugi was founded in 2012 as an independent live dealer studio, and it built its reputation by going where the big studios were not. It was the first live casino supplier to stream legally into the United States, from New Jersey in 2016, and one of the first to build live tables for players in India and Latin America. In 2019 Evolution, now the largest live casino company in the world, bought Ezugi for up to 18 million dollars, mainly for that head start in the US and in emerging markets.
